Your pets welfare

Your pets health and welfare takes priority in our care and your dog will only be groomed towhat it can tolerate. If your pet is uncomfortable of any of the grooming process alternative ways will be used to suit their needs. During grooming sometimes a pre-exsisiting condition can be located that you haven't been aware of, I will inform you of this straight away so you can seek professional vetinary advice. Although very unlikely accidents can happen during grooming, in case of an incident such as an accident of serious medical issue you authoirise me to seek emergency vetinary treatment.

  • Pets that are hard to manage throughout their groom

Time keeping

Please arrive on time, I work off appointments allocated to your pets. As you can understand a no show appointment is a loss of income and time.

Clients arriving over 30 minutes late for their appointment can be considered a missed appointment and will have to be re-boked. This will include a full charge for the missed groom as well as the next appointment. If you need an earlier drop off/ later time collection please inform us when booking so we can work around it. If I have attempted to contact your via phone call or text message to let you know your pets ready for collection and you do not turn up on time an extra £5 applies for every half an hour your're late.

Cancellations and not turning up for appointments (less than 24 hours notice)

If you do not turn up for your appointment or cancel 24 hours or less before the appointment a full payment for the groom is required  before booking another appointment with us. This is a small buisness which can not afford to miss out on income from no shows or late cancelationsas another pet could have been booked in your place.

Neglected and matted coats

In the event that your pets coat needs to be clipped down to relieve it from matting Trace & Tails the owner and any employees are not responsible for any post-grooming effects of this proceedure, which isn't without risk. Any humane dematting will be under taken within the guidelines of The Animal welfare Act 2006 (Clause 5- animals are to be protected from pain, injury and suffering). Dematting to a regular groom is limited to 15 minutes and is only possible with minimal matting. The only humane way to deal with severely matted coats is to completely shave it off. We will give you an estimated time of how long this proceedure will take and a rough price on what it will cost. A full clip off due to matting causes more wear and tear on our equipement, consumes more product and take more time therefore will include an extra charge. All costs are to be paid at the time you collect your pet.

Aggressive and poorly socialised dogs : The dangerous dog Act

I reserve the right to refuse to groom any pet that may cause harm to me or itself. If your dog displays aggression during grooming that I have not been informed of I will terminate the groom immediately and you'll be contacted straight away to collect them. The full starting price of the groom will be levied. You must tell me if your dog has bitten anyone or displayed any form of aggresion before I accept to groom them. Failure to do so will result in refusing further grooms. Your attentions is drawn to The dangerous dog Act , which holds owners liable for bites and injuries caused by their dogs.

I reserve the rights to use any photos I take of my grooms as part of my portfolio and personal growth
